Hatha Yogi should practise Haá¹ha Vidya in a well-ruled kingdom (a place or a country), a place of virtuousness, which is prosperous, and free from disturbances. He should live alone in a matha - a small room or a monastery, situated in a solitary place, and free from stones, fire, water, disturbances of all kinds.
it should be level and without any holes. If the place is unequal and deep, it may be difficult to keep clean and free from insects, etc.
Failure in yoga is due to over-eating, overexertion, talkativeness, stubborn persistence behaviour, adhering to and observing unsuitable disciplines, fickleness and promiscuous company. Yoga is lost due to these obstacles.
Zeal and enthusiasm, courage, daring, perseverance and discriminative knowledge, unshakable faith, aloofness, abandonment of the company of unsuitable people bring success in yoga.
