Dhyana is the seventh step in ashtanga yoga. Dhyana, the contemplation is the uninterrupted flow of the thought of the object.

    2. In dharana, there will be a number of thought-waves in the mind which comes one after another. But in dhyana, there is only one thought-wave that raises and stays and the same thought is continuous.
