Samadhi is the eighth and the last limb or accessory of yoga. Samadhi is the ï¬nal goal of the sadhaka.
Samadhi destroys ego; leads to detachment and ï¬nally to liberation. The aspirant sees himself in all beings and all beings in him. The self is seen spontaneously.
There are many ways to reach the state of samadhi. All the types of practices are not suitable for all sorts of people.
There is no time duration to experience and to stay in the state of samadhi. Samadhi may have a duration of a fraction of a second; or a minute or an hour or a day, or a month or several years.
