    1. Karmas or kriyas have a strong benefit on the health and maintenance of the body. Since there is a difference of opinion about the practice of shat karmas, one should seek the guidance of the guru and decide whether to practise shat karmas or not.

    2. Insert through a nasal passage a smooth thread of the length of a hand span (about 25 cms) and draw it out through the mouth. This is called neti by the Siddhas.

    3. Draw up the apana to the throat and vomit the food and all the other substances that are in the stomach. The gradual practice of Gajakarani brings all the nadis under control and is known to Hatha yogis.
