Abhyasa and vairagya are the two most popular terms and important practices. Abhyasa means practice; a discipline. Abhyasa is an effort of mind to remain in its unmodified condition. In abhyasa, there is repetition.
The control, that is, abhyasa practice becomes firm when you practice for a long period, without interruption and with devotion and being well-attended to it.
That vairagya is higher due to the knowledge and to the qualities of the Purusha and to the indifference, that is due to non-attachment.
