The span of attention is the duration of time that a person can focus on a job or a task without getting distracted. When the individual is performing an activity and the mind of the individual is drawn to some other activity then the individual gets distracted or his span of attention is disturbed.
In our systems, the brain and its capacity and functioning, etc., have already been said and discussed. Whenever my guru was explaining about the reasons for the different level of the practice and the focus on the practice of the students, he was giving wonderful examples about the state of and the behaviour pattern of the mind of the students.

The modern money-driven yoga gurus, who are dressing and posing as spiritual leaders have become a big problem for the honest and sincere students of yoga. With their colourful dress, flowery language and overnight invented yoga styles and courses, these modern gurus are, in a way, confusing and misleading the students.
