Yoga is a vision of many visionaries such as sages, ascetics, monks, renounce etc. The spiritual and pious people lived and practised a chaste life.
The Upanishads are the treasure-houses of spiritual knowledge and wisdom. The Upanishads deal with the philosophical aspects of the Vedas. There are many Upanishads. Shandilya Upanishad is one among them.
Daya means mercy; kindness.
Arjavam means simplicity; uprightness; honesty; absence of crookedness, renouncing deception and wrongdoing.
Humility is also one of the types of arjavam. Here, you can see the great people exhibiting humility in their own way. Arjuna the great archer is an example.
Kshama means forbearance; to pardona; to forgive.
Dhrithi means firmness; constancy; steadiness.
Mithahara means moderation in the diet.
